Becca and Josh Cross Stitch!

For our wedding I made coloring books for all the kids at the reception. The cover had an illustration of Josh and I that I drew. Josh pixelated it and made it into a cross stitch pattern for me. I think this might be my favorite cross stitch I’ve done so far.

And for reference, the original illustration.

Coloring Book Page!

Today we got an awesome piece of mail from some friends – a coloring book page colored by their 2 year old daughter Ophelia. I think we really bonded at Disney World, while eating bacon at Kevin’s wedding.

Thanks Ophelia. Feed the birds.

While I’m being productive on the blog…

While I’m being productive on the blog I thought I’d share with you, dear reader, a special video.

Never before has the internet seen such a wonderful commercial for an iPhone application.

Okay, so I’m laying the hyperbole pretty thick on these last two posts but you’ve got to admit, its a pretty great video.

That is all.

Kid Casting

So my new favorite website is Kid Casting, a site exploring the innate, unmitigated awesomeness of adult and child actors who portray the same character in a film. Mark my words, ladies and gentlemen, Kid Casting will one day rival the likes of IMDB. Your children will cite it in their school papers.

Kid Casting is what the internet was intended for.

To date, I’ve submitted National Treasure and Watchmen (pictured) — but Becca and I have a few more to contribute before the week is over.

Kid Casting is curated by Dave Shumka of the podcast Stop Podcasting Yourself, an upstanding Canadian gentleman.

Soup Making Catastrophe

Sometimes I wonder how Josh can handle living with me, I’m like a child. Constantly making messes or getting hurt.

January 7, 2010

Tonight I was making Roasted tomato and black bean soup and it did not go well. I put too much soup into the blender and even though I was holding the lid down it came open and went everywhere. The worst part? The soup wasn’t even very good. So now we have a vat of soup that no one wants to eat, and we’re still finding soup on things.

I think it’s time to invest in an immersion blender.
